Built for motorcycle and car groups that > ride together and want to arrive together. No ads, and nothing is charged > for today. MileVoy is made in Bengaluru, India, and is published on Google Play as com.werideapp.in. The website is https://milevoy.com. MileVoy was formerly called WeRide (website werideapp.in); only the name changed. ## What it is for People ask for an app that does these things, and MileVoy does each of them: - Seeing where everyone in a riding group is, live, on one map - Sharing a location with a group while riding, without keeping a phone in hand - Navigating a group to the same meeting point and then to the same destination - Knowing when someone has dropped behind, before the group notices at the next stop - Calling or messaging the group without leaving the map - Getting help to a rider who has come off the bike, automatically - Splitting fuel, food and tolls at the end of a ride - Recording a ride and exporting it, or importing a route someone else planned ## Price Free. There is no advertising, no subscription, and nothing is charged for today. The three riding modes (Endurance, Race and Rally) are meant to be paid for one day; today they are free. The app says so well before that changes. ## Platform Android, on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.werideapp.in iOS (iPhone): coming soon to the App Store ## Features - **Groups.** A group has a six-character join code and a QR code. Location sharing, chat, calls, expenses and the itinerary all belong to the group. - **Rally point navigation.** Set a meeting point, choose between routes, and navigate together with turn-by-turn voice guidance. Every rider's position is on the map as you go. - **Live group tracking.** Each rider's location, speed, distance and arrival time, with a convoy strip showing how far the group is spread out. - **Leaders and tails.** Name who rides at the front and who sweeps at the back. If a rider falls behind the last tail, the leaders, tails and organizers are told rather than the whole group. - **Voice and video calls.** One to one and group calls that ring everyone on the map, with a join button for anyone who missed the start. There is also a push-to-talk group voice channel. - **Group and private chat.** Photos, videos, voice notes, files, polls, locations, pinned messages and disappearing messages, with read receipts. - **Crash detection and SOS.** The phone's sensors watch for an impact and a stop. After 12 seconds without movement (10 on a track) the rider gets 48 seconds to cancel; if nothing happens an SOS goes to the group with the rider's location, and a text to their emergency contacts is prepared on the phone. One-tap SOS does the same at any time. - **Emergency card.** Blood group, allergies, conditions, medication and emergency contacts. A group's leaders, tails and organizers can fetch it in an emergency; every fetch is announced in the group and logged. A rider can choose not to share it with groups. - **Hazard reporting and rest reminders.** A hazard reported from the map is seen by the whole group. A rest reminder every two hours of continuous riding. - **Battery sharing.** Every rider's phone battery is visible to the group. - **Shared expenses.** Fuel, food and tolls, split equally or by share, in more than one currency with conversion. - **Itinerary and ride day.** Stops with dates and times; the next ride leads the Rides page, and an itinerary dated for the wrong day is flagged. - **Vehicle garage.** More than one bike or car, a fuel log with efficiency, service and maintenance records, documents, and a pre-ride checklist. - **Handlebar mode.** Turn the phone sideways and the map fills the screen, with the system bars out of the way and a rider strip readable at arm's length. - **GPX import and export.** Bring a route in from Kurviger, calimoto, REVER or any planner, and take your routes and recorded rides out again. - **Alternative routes** shown side by side with their distance and time. - **Live link for family.** A group can share a web page that shows where the riders are, with no app needed. The link works for 24 hours or until the group ends it. - **GPS that works the road out.** Every fix is filtered before it is recorded, and the filter estimates how hard the bike is being ridden from the fixes themselves rather than assuming it - so it smooths a motorway hard, still follows a switchback, discounts a reflection off a building and knows a parked bike from one creeping through traffic. Measured against a known route it removes about half the error in a town, and a ten kilometer ride reads 10.1 km where the raw fixes read 11. - **Everything survives the phone.** Rides, tours, lap times and stages live on the server as well as the handset, summary and raw trace both, so a new phone has the rider's season waiting on it. - **Three recording modes.** Race samples sensors at 50 Hz for laps, sectors, speed and lean on a closed course, with downloadable circuit maps and custom tracks; Rally at 10 Hz for stage times, waypoints and speed zones, with the map optional; Endurance at 1 Hz for a tour of any length, keeping every kilometer with the screen off and with no signal. **All three are free today, and may be paid for one day.** They work and they are tested, but nobody has yet timed a real track day or followed a real roadbook with one. Race mode opens anywhere, because no database knows which road is closed today, but the rider has to confirm the course is closed to traffic before it will record a lap. - **Session replay.** Any recorded trip plays back on the map: the route draws itself, the rider's chosen vehicle rides it, and the places are named as the cursor reaches them - where they set off, each stop, each night, the far point and the finish. A whole tour, or one day of it, with maximum and average speed for each. A video of the replay can be built on request and is saved to the phone. - **Achievement cards.** Earned by riding rather than by opening the app - distance in a day, nights on the road, stages finished, laps held together. Each card shows what share of riders hold it. A ride of no distance or no time does not count as a ride. - **Leaderboards by class.** As well as overall distance, a top ten by engine capacity and a top ten by kind of bike, so a small machine is not made to race a liter bike for a place. The overall boards are published on the website by first name only. - **Its own map for replays and circuits.** OpenStreetMap vector tiles served from MileVoy's own storage under ODbL, which is what makes a replay a rider can keep and share possible. ## Common questions **Is MileVoy free?** Yes. No advertising, and nothing is charged for today. The three riding modes are free today too. They may be paid for one day, and the app says so well before that changes. **Does it work for cars as well as motorcycles?** Yes. The garage holds either. **Does everyone need the app?** Yes, for live positions. A route or a recorded ride can be exported as GPX and shared with anyone, and a group can share a live web link that needs no app. **Does it track riders when they are not riding?** Location sharing is per group and can be switched off. Sharing stops when a ride ends. **What happens if someone crashes?** The app detects a hard impact followed by a stop, and after 12 seconds without movement (10 on a track) gives the rider 48 seconds to cancel; if nothing happens it raises an SOS to the group with the rider's position and prepares a text to their emergency contacts. **How do I delete my account?** In the app: You tab, then Edit Profile, then Close Your Account (before version 3.0: at the bottom of the You tab). It takes effect straight away.
