Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026
MileVoy was formerly called WeRide. Only the name has changed. Our old website, werideapp.in, and our email addresses at werideapp.in still reach us.
1. Acceptance
When you create an account, the App shows these Terms and our Privacy Policy, both linked, and asks you to accept them. We can't create an account for you unless you accept. Whether you share which features you use is a separate choice, described in the Privacy Policy. Using the App at any time after means you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy as they stand at the time; when either changes, the App tells you about it. If you do not agree, do not use the App, and close your account (section 15).
2. Who we are
MileVoy is made and run by its founder in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. You can reach us at the address in section 21.
3. What the App is
MileVoy is an app for riding, alone and in a group. It shares live locations within a group, navigates the group to a meeting point, carries group chat and calls, records rides, tours, race sessions and rally stages, lets you add photos, notes and road remarks to your rides and share a ride page, splits shared expenses, awards achievement cards, and raises an SOS to the group. It is a coordination tool. It is not a transport service, it does not organize rides, and it is not an emergency service.
4. Who can use it
To use MileVoy you must:
- Be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher
- Hold a valid license for any vehicle you ride or drive while using the App, and ride only a vehicle you are allowed to ride
- Sign in with a Google account, with Apple on an iPhone, or with a phone number or an email address, by a one-time code we send you (by email, or by WhatsApp to a phone number). The App does not use passwords
- Keep the App up to date: a version too old to sign in securely is refused at sign-in until you update it
- Give accurate information, and keep it up to date
- Keep your account and your phone secure, and tell us if someone else has used your account
You are responsible for what is done under your account. One account is for one person.
5. The service and its limits
MileVoy helps you ride. It does not ride for you, and it is not a safety device. Navigation, the speed it shows, arrival times, hazard reports, crash detection and SOS are aids, not guarantees:
- They are provided as they are and may not work in every situation: without a signal, with a flat or busy phone, with the App closed by your phone, or where maps or GPS are wrong
- The speed the App shows comes from GPS. It can differ from your speedometer, and your speedometer and the speed limit are what count
- Routes and directions can be wrong, out of date or unsuitable for your vehicle. Use your own judgment, and follow road signs and the police over the App
- Crash detection works from the phone's sensors. It can go off when there was no crash, and it can miss a real one
- An SOS reaches your group through the App. It reaches your emergency contacts by a text from your own phone (sent by itself on Android if you allow it, otherwise ready for you to send) and, where MileVoy can, by WhatsApp from MileVoy's number. Neither is guaranteed to arrive
- A ride you stop on rests and stays open until you end it, and closes by itself only after 24 hours with no movement. "Got home safe" in the group's chat only means your phone reached the finish you set. Low-battery alerts, who is still coming to a stop, and who is leading for now come from what riders' phones send, and can be late or wrong
- Heart rate from your watch is shown for interest only. It is not a medical reading, and the App's suggestion to take a longer break is no substitute for your own judgment
- Do not rely on MileVoy alone in an emergency. Call the emergency services (112 in India)
- Obey the traffic laws where you ride, whatever the App says, and do not handle the phone while riding in a way that is unsafe or against the law. Mount it, set it up before you set off, and stop to use it
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of routes, directions, arrival times, speeds, hazard reports or lap and stage timing
6. Riding modes
MileVoy has an Endurance mode for long rides and tours, a Race mode for timing laps and sessions, and a Rally mode for timed stages.
- Race and Rally are for closed courses and lawful events only: a race track, a closed stage, or an organized event that has the permissions it needs. Before a session, the App asks you to declare this, and you are responsible for it being true
- The open road is not a race. Race mode can time a ride on a public road for your own record; that is not permission to race, to chase a time, or to ride faster than the law and the conditions allow. Never race on a public road
- Endurance: long days are tiring. Rest when you need to; the App's reminders are no substitute for your own judgment
- Track and event rules, and the instructions of marshals and organizers, come before anything the App shows
7. Your conduct
MileVoy has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Use MileVoy lawfully and with respect for other riders. You must not:
- Use the App for anything unlawful, or to plan or record unlawful riding, such as racing on public roads
- Share content that is illegal, threatening, abusive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent or discriminatory, or that bullies, threatens or harasses another rider in any way, in a group chat, a private message, your profile, a group, a trip, a route, a photo, a note or road remark on a ride, or a ride page
- Post a road remark you know to be false, or one meant to send riders into danger
- Give false information about yourself, or impersonate another person
- Use the App to track or follow a person without their consent
- Raise a false SOS, or misuse the SOS, the emergency card or another rider's emergency details
- Fake a position, a speed, a lap or a stage time, or otherwise cheat to earn a card or a place on a leaderboard
- Interfere with the App or the servers behind it, or try to reach another rider's account or data
- Send spam through the App, or use bots or scripts to access it
8. Your content
You own what you share through MileVoy: messages, photos, videos, voice notes, routes, rides and recordings, and the photos, notes, star ratings and road remarks you add to your rides. By sharing it you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, show and transmit it, only as needed to run the App and only to the people you share it with: your group, the rider you are chatting with, or, for what you choose to make public such as a leaderboard place, a live link or a ride page, anyone who can see it. For the photos you add to rides, the license also lets us make smaller copies and remove the hidden details stored in them (such as the place, the camera and the time). The license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies other riders or visitors already have and what section 15 says is kept.
Photos and notes on your rides
- You choose who sees each one: every photo and road remark, and your note and rating, starts as Only Me. You can change each to My Group (the riders of the same group ride, in the App) or Everyone (your ride page and the ride pictures you share), and change it back or remove it at any time. We show it only to the audience you chose
- What is never shown: a photo or remark pinned inside your privacy zones, or near your ride's own start or finish, is shown to nobody but you, whatever you chose
- Reports: riders who can see your photos, notes or remarks can report them, and we deal with those reports as section 9 says
Your ride page
- You decide to publish it: a ride has no page until you tap Make a Link. The page shows the ride as the Privacy Policy describes, with only what you marked Everyone
- Anyone with the link can see it: it is kept out of search engines, but whoever you give the link to can pass it on, and can save or copy what they see. We cannot take back copies other people have made
- You can take it down: Stop Sharing ends the link at once. Deleting the tour, race session or rally stage, or closing your account, also ends it
- Only what is yours to share: do not put other people's photos, faces, number plates or details on your ride page, or mark them Everyone, without their consent. A group ride's page shows only your own ride and how many rode with you
- We may take it down: if a ride page or anything on it breaks these Terms, we may remove it, as section 9 says. You can report a ride page by writing to the address in section 21
You must have the right to share what you share. Do not post other people's photos or details without their consent.
The MileVoy name, logo and design are ours. Do not copy or redistribute them without permission.
9. Groups
A group's creator, managers and ride organizers are responsible for what happens in it: who they invite, the route and stops they set, the briefing they give, and how the ride is run. MileVoy provides the tools; it does not organize, supervise or insure any ride. Each rider is responsible for their own riding and their own decision to take part.
- Trips and answers: a group can plan several trips. Your I'm In or Not This Time, and the meeting point you choose, can be seen by the group. The ride's organizers can send a reminder to riders who have not answered, not chosen a meeting point or not set a finish, at most once every 30 minutes for each
- Leaving a group you created: the group carries on, run by a manager or, if it has none, by its longest-standing member
- Delete for Everyone: the creator can choose to delete a group for everyone. Every member is told, and the group is deleted 24 hours later, unless the creator cancels or a manager (or any member, in a group with no managers) keeps it and becomes its creator. It cannot be started while the group's ride is on, and the deletion waits for a ride to end. When a group is deleted, its chat, files, plans and trips go for everyone; each rider keeps their own rides, cards, and the photos and notes they added to their rides
Reporting, blocking and what we do about it
- Report: Press and hold any message in a group or private chat (a photo, video, file, voice note or shared place too), tap a rider's name in a group's members or at the top of a private chat, open a group's details, use the menu on another rider's suggestion in the Trip tab, or open another rider's photo, note or remark under From the Group in a ride's Photos and Notes, and choose Report. Pick a reason and, if you like, say more. The rider is not told who reported them
- Block: From the same places, choose Block. You stop seeing that rider's messages in your groups and in private chat, the places they share, and their photos, notes and remarks on rides. Neither of you can message or call the other, and neither appears in the other's Riders sheet or among who rode with them. You > Privacy > Blocked Riders lists everyone you have blocked and unblocks them
- Filter: The App automatically hides a list of slurs and obscenities in what riders type for others to see: messages, names, captions, notes and road remarks, polls, trip and group details, and the rest
- What we do: We review every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks these Terms is removed, and the rider who posted it is suspended or their account closed. Removing content can include a rider's chosen name, nickname and picture, or a group's name, description and icon. Serious or repeated abuse ends in a permanent ban: the account is closed to its rider, and we keep scrambled copies of the email addresses, phone number, Apple ID and Google ID it used so that none of them can sign in or open a new account. Illegal content or threats may be passed to the police
You can also report content or behavior, or appeal a decision, by writing to [email protected].
10. Location sharing
MileVoy shares your live position with the members of a group while you are sharing with that group. You can pause it, switch it off per group, or leave the group. By joining a group and sharing your position you agree that its members can see it. After a group ride, the other riders of that ride can see where you rode near them, for their own Ride Stats and ride videos, unless you switch Show Me in Who Rode With You off. Your group sees whether you are heading home or to your own finish, never where. See the Privacy Policy for details.
11. Expenses
The expenses feature calculates and records who owes what. It does not move money. Settling up is between the riders involved.
12. Paid modes
The Endurance, Race and Rally modes are free today. They are meant to be paid for one day. Before anything is charged, the price and what it buys will be announced in the App, and nothing is charged without your own purchase through Google Play (or the App Store on an iPhone), whose terms then also apply to the purchase.
13. Achievement cards and leaderboards
Achievement cards, card numbers, rarities and leaderboard places are part of the App. They have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and are not property you own. We may correct a leaderboard, and withhold or take back a card or a place, if it was earned by cheating, a faked position or time, a fault in the App, or by breaking these Terms.
14. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains what the App collects, why, who sees it and how long it is kept, including the data we need from every rider to run and fix the service and the feature tracking you can choose to share. It is part of these Terms.
15. Ending your account
You can close your account yourself at any time from the You tab in the App, under Close Your Account, or by following the account deletion page. When you close your account, your private content is deleted and your group messages are kept without your name, photo or account attached, as that page explains. If you sign in with Apple, closing your account on an iPhone asks Apple once more, so that we can revoke MileVoy's access to your Apple ID. Once it is closed, your right to use the App ends.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other riders or the App. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why first.
16. Third-party services
MileVoy uses Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Google Maps and Google's routing services, OpenStreetMap-based routing and place search, a weather service, WhatsApp (Meta) for sign-in codes and SOS messages, and, if you switch heart rate on, Health Connect or Apple Health. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or policies.
17. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of India:
- MileVoy is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or free of faults
- We are not liable for injuries, accidents, damage or fines that occur during rides, or for the conduct of other riders or organizers
- We are not liable for wrong directions or speeds, missed hazards, a crash that was not detected, or an SOS that did not get through
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, unauthorized access or interruptions of service
- Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, which today is nothing
Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have, or any liability we have, that the law does not allow to be limited.
18. Indemnity
If a claim is brought against us because of how you used the App, the content you shared, or your breaking these Terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from it, to the extent permitted by law.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date, and the App tells you about it. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the App and close your account.
20. Governing law, and the rest
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
If a court finds part of these Terms invalid, the rest still applies, and the invalid part is read as closely to its purpose as the law allows. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms at once, we have not given up the right to. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the App.
